Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 1, 2026

This policy explains what Stamp Rescue collects, why, and how you can control or delete it. Stamp Rescue is built and maintained by a single independent developer, reachable at dnnr.tech@gmail.com.

We do not require an account

Stamp Rescue never asks for your name, email address, or a password. When you first open the app, Firebase (our backend provider) assigns your device an anonymous identifier — a random string with no name attached — so your visit log and saved routes can sync for that device. We cannot connect this identifier to your real identity, and we never ask you to.

Information we collect

Location (optional)

If you allow it, Stamp Rescue uses your device's GPS location to show nearby stamp stations, sort "open now" results by distance, build multi-park routes, and optionally attach a location to a visit log or a community report you submit. You can use the app fully without granting location access — search by park, state, city, or ZIP instead. You can turn location off at any time in your device settings.

Photos (optional)

You can attach a photo to a visit log or a community report. Photos you choose to attach are uploaded to our Firebase Storage and are only used to display that visit log back to you or, for community reports, to help verify the correction. We never access your photo library beyond the photo you actively pick or capture.

Visit logs and community reports

Notes, visit statuses, and corrections you submit are stored against your anonymous identifier. Visit logs are private to you. Community reports are reviewed by moderation before any accepted correction is merged into the shared public map data.

Analytics and crash diagnostics

We use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand which features are used and to catch crashes and errors. This includes device type, app version, coarse usage events (for example, "viewed park detail"), and crash logs. This data is tied to your anonymous identifier, not to your name or email, because we don't collect either.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

Stamp Rescue shows ads through Google AdMob to help cover the cost of running the app. AdMob and its partners may collect advertising identifiers (such as Android's Advertising ID or Apple's IDFA, where you have allowed tracking) and other signals to select and measure ads. We do not control how Google's ad partners use this data beyond what Google discloses. You can review Google's practices and your controls at Google's Partner Sites policy, and manage ad personalization at adssettings.google.com. You can also limit ad tracking from your device's OS settings ("Ask App Not to Track" on iOS, or the ads/privacy settings on Android).

What we don't collect

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any account credentials — there is no account to create. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

Who we share data with

We use Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Storage, Analytics, Crashlytics) and Google AdMob as service providers to run the app. These providers process data on our behalf under their own data processing and privacy terms. We do not share your data with anyone else, and we do not sell it.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws like the EU/UK GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), including the right to access, correct, or delete your data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Because Stamp Rescue doesn't collect your name or email, most requests are handled through your anonymous identifier — see "Deleting your data" below. Stamp Rescue does not sell personal information, so there is no "sale" to opt out of; you can still limit ad personalization using the controls described above.

Deleting your data

To request deletion of your visit logs, photos, saved routes, community reports, or any other data tied to your device, email dnnr.tech@gmail.com from any address and let us know the approximate date you started using the app, your device platform (iPhone or Android), and roughly what you logged (for example, parks or dates visited). Because Stamp Rescue doesn't have accounts, this information helps us locate the right anonymous record. We will delete matching data within 30 days and confirm by email.

Data retention

We keep visit logs and community reports for as long as your app install remains active, and for a reasonable period afterward in backups, unless you request deletion sooner. Aggregated or anonymized analytics may be retained longer since it cannot identify you.

Children's privacy

Stamp Rescue is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the effective date above and, where required, provide additional notice.
