Terms of Use

1. Acceptance
By downloading or using Stamp Rescue ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you don't agree, don't use the App.
2. What Stamp Rescue is
Stamp Rescue is an independent companion app for finding and tracking park stamp locations. It is not the official National Park Service app and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the National Park Service, Eastern National, or Passport To Your National Parks. All park names, park data, and NPS-sourced information belong to their respective owners and are used for informational reference only.
3. Informational data — always verify before you travel
Station hours, "open now" status, closures, alerts, and route suggestions in the App are compiled from National Park Service public data and user-submitted reports, and are provided for planning convenience only. Hours can be wrong, out of date, or unverified — as of this writing, 433 of the 1,015 mapped stations have no confirmed hours source. NPS units can close or change hours without notice (weather, staffing, government shutdowns, maintenance, and other causes). Always confirm hours and operating status directly with the park before traveling. Stamp Rescue is not responsible for wasted trips, missed stamps, or any other loss resulting from relying on in-app data.
4. User-submitted content and reports
If you submit a community report, note, photo, or correction ("User Content"), you retain ownership of it, but you grant Stamp Rescue a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, display, reproduce, and incorporate that User Content (or facts derived from it, such as corrected hours) into the App's shared map data, including for other users' benefit. You confirm you have the right to submit anything you upload (for example, photos you took yourself) and that it doesn't violate anyone else's rights. We may moderate, edit, reject, or remove User Content at our discretion, including reports that appear inaccurate, abusive, or spam.
5. Acceptable use
Don't use the App to submit false reports in bad faith, harass other users, scrape or resell the data at scale, reverse-engineer the App, or violate any applicable law or NPS regulation while visiting a park.
6. No warranty
The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't guarantee the App will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that its data is complete or accurate.
7. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stamp Rescue and its developer are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of travel time, missed stamps, or trip costs, arising from your use of or inability to use the App, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App is limited to the amount you paid to use the App (which, for most users, is zero).
8. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Stamp Rescue and its developer from any claim arising from your misuse of the App or violation of these Terms.
9. Governing law

This should match the developer's actual home jurisdiction and ideally get a quick pass from a lawyer before publishing, since it underpins the limitation-of-liability section above.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
